WATCH HOUNDS

Watch Hounds strives to: 

• Awaken guardians to the values and benefits of involvement in schools. 
• Change culture by where every student has an adult to connect with in a positive way at school.
• Help our school be positively impacted by the committed involvement of our guardians and parental-figures in their student's life.
• Increase adult presence so students feel safe at school. 

This includes helping with: 

• Car pool line
• Morning announcements
• In the classroom
• Math
• Science
• Language Arts
• Social Studies
• AMPED
• PE
• Art
• Music
• Lunch and recess
• Library
• Patrol the hallways
• Check for locked doors
• Increase safety awareness 
• Be visible
• Positively interact with students

How to volunteer for Watch HOUNDS. 

 Step 1.

Register or log in on Membership Toolkit. Make sure you are a PTA Member to become a Watch Hound!

Step 2.

Fill out the PISD Volunteer Application.

• Please visit https://plano.voly.org/index.html
• Select "Click here for online volunteer application."
  • If you think you have already completed the application for the current school year, you can log in to check the status or contact the Hedgcoxe Elementary secretary at audrey.maybery@pisd.edu and verify.

REQUIRED:  The Volunteer Application must be completed at least 2 weeks prior to your volunteer date.

Step 3.

Fill out the Watch Hounds Signup Form:

Be prepared to be awesome and have fun!

• Show up on your scheduled day at 7:20 a.m.
• Wear your Hedgcoxe Spirit Wear if you have it.
• Go to the front office and tell the secretary you are there for Watch Hounds
• Sign in using the Voly system and get your name badge.

 Yes, you may volunteer for more than one day!
