FAMILY WEEK September 25 - 29, 2023

MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 25 – FAMILY WALK & SCAVENGER HUNT

It’s a great night to go on a neighborhood walk with your family!  While you’re at it, check off the items you find on the scavenger hunt handout that will be in your class take-home folder.  Bring in your paper on Tuesday with as many items checked off as you can, and your teacher will give you 20 Hound Bucks!

TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 26, 5:30-7:00 – FAMILY GAME NIGHT

Bring your family and join us in the cafeteria for games, popcorn, and prizes!  We’ll have fun games to play such as Uno, Connect 4, giant Jenga, cornhole, and more.  Grab a bag of popcorn and get excited as we draw names for prizes throughout the night!  Come on up and see what you can win!

WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 27 – FAMILY ACT OF KINDNESS: POSITIVITY ROCKS

Tonight is a night for doing something good!  With your family, gather up some rocks and art supplies (what works best is paint, Sharpies, or glitter glue).  Then, decorate your rocks with positive messages and fun drawings!  Bring in your rocks by Friday and your teacher will give you 10 Hound Bucks for each one.  All of the rocks brought in will be used in a beautification project at Hedgcoxe!

THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 28, 5:00-7:00 – FAMILY PICNIC

Tonight, grab some dinner to-go and bring it to the Hedgcoxe Family Picnic for an evening of music, dancing, playing, and FREE snow cones sponsored by your awesome PTA!

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 29 – FAMILY TIME: FLASHLIGHT FRIDAY

Grab some books and a flashlight and snuggle up in bed or find a spot on the couch with your family for some quality reading time tonight!  Whether it’s two books or ten, reading together is always so  much fun!  Parents, if you email a picture of your child with their book and flashlight to your teacher, your child will receive 20 Hound Bucks!
